Review: Bought after seeing someone use theirs. Our neighbor is a tea drinker. Our stovetop kettle takes too long to heat and is not “pretty” for serving. We had no idea anything was missing until our son tried to use it and asked where the heating base was. We didn’t EVENKNOW THAT IS WAS MISSING. Returned to Amazon and aseked for replacement. New kettle arrived with heqting pad, paperwork inside telling how to use (that was missing as well in first kettle). Why 4 stars and not 5? Review: The device itself seems to work as advertised but there were a few irregularities with the shipping, first it came in its own box which isn’t a huge deal until I noticed that the box wasn’t sealed and the cardboard tab that was supposed to keep it closed was broken. There was no manufacturers card or instruction manual inside but the device appears undamaged and heated up my first few cups of tea without issue. Maybe this was a return that they just shipped back out? Maybe the lid popped open mid transit and all the paperwork disappeared? It’s just odd.

Hope this information helps someone else from making the same mistake and I hope the deceptive advertising is changed. Update: Do not allow your husband to try first! When I tried the appliance the next day pressing the button and allowing the red light to come DID keep the kettle heated for up to an hour, as stated in the description. I would recommend this information also be included in the instruction manuel. It is not.

I thought they advertised it would keep the water at the selected temperature for 30 minutes and that doesn’t happen which was disappointing. That was my only disappointment. It’s easy to handle.
