Review: Sample recipes would have been helpful, why 4 stars. I have made white rice, brown rice, grits, slow cooked, steamed veggies in steamer and cooked in the water using steamer. I have the 2 qt so works for us. It does take some trial and error. I’ve learned to add more water to certain things and rice came out better if I left it through the warming cycle. I cook 1# of beans after overnight soak on the slow cook. It takes much less time than a regular slow cooker which is why trial and error but the small size is nice. Rice takes longer than the simple rice cookers you can buy. I like the versatility and size of this.
