Review: We bought this to replace an older Cuisinart coffee maker and decided to get this one with the hot water feature to save counter space. Only we never used the hot water. We would forget to put water in it and, I don’t know, stopped drinking as much tea and hot chocolate? That being said, we had this model for years until it finally gave up the ghost. The only negative issue was that the finish on the hot plate began to flake off. Of course, pulling the carafe out before the coffee finished brewing probably didn’t help – oops! We replaced it with another Cuisinart (they do make good coffee). If you are a coffee drinker, who also makes tea and hot chocolate, this model would work very well for you. Oh, and we ended up buying an electric kettle, too. Turns out my mother-in-law likes her pour-over coffee!
