Who Is Cuisinart CRC-800 8-Cup Rice Cooker For?
Cuisinart CRC-800 8-Cup Rice Cooker makes perfect rice a breeze. It’s not just ideal for a large family who wants to eat delicious rice every time but also for anyone with limited kitchen space. It’s also one of the simplest kitchen appliances for preparing rice. You can already prepare supper with the help of its steamer. And because of its removable sections and stainless steel steaming pot, it’s also simple to clean up.
Cuisinart CRC-800 Rice Cooker includes an automatic heating system that can make your life easier if you are a busy person. In addition, because rice takes a bit longer to cook, you can use the delayed timer to prepare it before arriving home.
As a result, Cuisinart CRC-800 Rice Cooker is great for families and those too busy to wait in the kitchen for the rice to finish cooking.
The Features of Cuisinart CRC-800 8-Cup Rice Cooker
1- Stainless Steel Steaming Pot
UNLIKE MOST RICE COOKERS, Cuisinart CRC-800 8-Cup Rice Cooker came with a stainless steel steamed pot instead of the typical tray. This allows you to steam more of your favorite side dishes, such as fish, eggs, or veggies. You’ll like this feature if you enjoy eating healthy meals; steaming is your preferred cooking method.
Turn the steamer basket upward to steam veggies and seafood. Fill it with food and cover it. The steam will heat up and sauté the veggie as the rice cooks. Larger veggies may need to be cut up to allow for complete cooking.
2- Automatic Keep Warm Function
Once your rice is cooked, the Cuisinart CRC-800 8-Cup Rice Cooker automatically changes to the keep-warm mode to prevent it from burning. This function can help you produce excellent, unburned meals if you have a habit of leaving the kitchen while cooking and forgetting you left something on the stove.
You may keep the rice warm in the oven for up to 24 hours, which is excellent if you don’t consume rice immediately after it’s been cooked. Before you sit down to enjoy dinner, Cuisinart CRC-800 Rice Cooker will keep the rice warm. You won’t have to reheat the rice or wait a few minutes before serving it this way. Cooked brown rice should not be kept on “keep warm” for more than 2 hours since it will dry out.
3- Menu selections
Cuisinart CRC-800 8-Cup Rice Cooker has six settings for cooking rice and other grains. It works well with white rice, brown rice, sushi rice, oatmeal, risotto, and quick-cook rice. You can also select a different texture for white rice, such as “hard” or “soft.”
The menu also allows for slow cooking, steaming, simmering, and reheating because it’s a multi-cooker.
4- Cleaning
The Cuisinart CRC-800 8-Cup Rice Cooker has a removable inner lid and inner pot for easy cleaning.
The cooking pot has a nonstick coating. The rice will not stick to the bottom of the bowl if you do this. However, this layer will wear away over time, causing rice to stick. If you’re using it for the first time, wash the rice outside the bowl. This protects the covering from damage and extends its life.
Although Cuisinart claims that all moving elements may be cleaned in the dishwasher, you may not want to, especially the inner pot. It’s composed of nonstick metal, so maintaining it scratch-free is crucial for the quality of rice it produces and your health.
Final Verdict
Cuisinart CRC-800 8-Cup Rice Cooker’s simple operation, combined with its stainless steel steaming pot and automatic keep warm setting, allows users to leave the kitchen whenever they choose, allowing them more time to spend with their families. The inner pot’s nonstick coating, the tempered glass cover, and the unit’s exterior are very easy to clean.
With the Cuisinart 8 Cup Rice Cooker, you can make big servings of delicious rice every time. With a built-in steam tray for sides and add-ins, you can quickly prepare healthy meals for the whole family.
Regardless, Cuisinart CRC-800 8-Cup Rice Cooker is one of the most dependable versions available. It contains all the functions you’ll need to make properly cooked rice.

Review: This replaced my previous rice cooker. I had this same 8 cup cooker for 10 years, so of course I replaced it with the exact same brand and model. Follow the directions for quantities of water, rice etc. and you’ll have no spillage. This new one should last another 10 years.

Review: I wanted to love this. It looks great on the counter when it’s out and the steaming feature is nice. A few issues, though. First, rice ALWAYS boils over – even 1/2 a cup. This rarely happens in my inexpensive Dash cooker. Second, the lid isn’t well constructed/sanitary. The glass isn’t sealed to the rim. In fact, the gap between the glass and the rim traps food and it’s difficult to clean. Finally, there’s something odd about the coating. Cuisinart says it’s non-toxic (great), but it doesn’t like water. In fact, it doesn’t dry without a towel. I’ve never seen that in a pan or appliance… all said, I’d go with a different option if I could do it again (and I own/love several cuisinart appliances).

Review: I had this rice cooker for the last 5 years with almost daily use without issue. It finally died on me So I’m replacing it with the exactly the same one. Those that reviewed this rice cooker complaining it made a mess and are displeased are using it WRONG… When cooking Rice PUT THE COLLENDER ON TOP and THE LID ON TOP OF THE COLLENDER and it WILL NOT MAKE A MESS. I’VE HAD THIS RICE COOKER FOR 5 YEARS AND IT HAS NEVER MADE THAT MESS… DON’T BLAME THE PRODUCT FOR YOUR MIS-USE OF THE UNIT!

Review: I bought this product in September and have used it maybe a half dozen times since receiving it. Worked great and easy to clean. It has been stored well in a cabinet when not in use and has not received any damage. Now in January it will not cook at all- won’t come off of the ‘warm’ setting. And once plugged in and ‘warmed up’ it almost instantly has this awful plastic/metal burning smell that is very concerning. There is nothing I can see that has gotten into it or anything broken. Looks just as new as when I bought it. Not sure what happened but super disappointing seeing it is now out of the window for returns and completely useless at this point. Will not repurchase simply because it was taken care of and used very few times and without any reason broke. Wished it worked out I really liked the simplicity.

Review: Maybe is because I was used to a different brand and older model, so it feels a little bit more complex, but a big deal. I has more pieces to take apart, but that is exactly why I bought it. I wanted to be able to remove the pieces involved in the cooking process to clean them throughly and this rice cooker makes that possible. The option of quick rice is THE BEST. No matter how much rice you are making it comes out perfect. I really enjoy it.
