Useful for viewing the menu options and delaying the start of the bread-making process by up to 13 hours. It has a loaf size control button that helps control the loaf size.

Cuisinart CBK-200 is a better form of Cuisinart CBK-100 in various points. It almost has everything Cuisinart CBK-100 provides. Let us begin with superior features. While Cuisinart CBK-100 has 12 pre-programmed cycles, Cuisinart increased this number to 16 with Cuisinart CBK-200. There are also new menu options that let you select the chewiness and crust of the dough.
A brilliant new feature notifies you when you should add the fruits, nuts, and other mix-ins into your dough. It has crust control like its old counterpart. However, a new feature makes this product superior to its old counterpart. That is, of course, the new convection feature that circulates air for a better crust, color, and texture.
Main Features | Pros | Cons |
---|---|---|
Pre-programmable | A lot more programs. | A little bit more expensive than Cuisinart CBK-100. |

A bit smaller than Cuisinart CBK-100 |
It has all the old pre-programmable selections already. It also has a timer and power failure backup. This product of Cuisinart has a 12-hour delay start, 15-minute pause, and bake-only option. Cuisinart CBK-200 is also very flexible to use.
The outer material is also perfect stainless steel, as we said. You can easily clean the outer side of this product. It weighs 16 pounds which is 6 pounds heavier than the Cuisinart CBK-100. Its wattage is 680 watts which are also higher than Cuisinart CBK-100. Cuisinart CBK-100 and Cuisinart CBK-200 are both in silverish color.
There are more than 100 simple bread, dough, cake, and jam combinations. You should hand wash this Cuisinart product. It is not that noisy too if you don’t mind your dishwasher or washing machine you will not have any problem with its sound. It has a lot better instructions too. This could also be an important defining point if you do not know what you are doing. For creating specific bread Cuisinart CBK-200 is superior.
Both products have similar distinct features such as programs, longevity, ease to use, and ease of cleaning. However, Cuisinart CBK-200 is superior in variation.

Since both products come from the same company and are 1 generation different from each other, there are some important differences in programmable parts. First, the Cuisinart CBK-100 is not bad. We should clarify that saying bad to this product would be a shame. It is good. It is very good that some people might prefer it over Cuisinart CBK-200.
However, Cuisinart CBK-200 is superior by design, both exterior and interior. Second, the pre-programmable part is defined by an amazing feature of Cuisinart CBK-200 that circulates air. There are also side features such as audible tone and more options.
We should start by saying this product is surpassed in almost every aspect of this comparison by Cuisinart CBK-200. However, we also should remember that the differences in most aspects are not that big. For example, Cuisinart CBK-100 has 13 pre-programmable lists, which include:
No products found.
Basic/White: White flour is mainly used in the white bread cycle.
French/Italian: To get that wonderful crispy, nicely browned crust on French/Italian bread, specific timing and temperatures are needed.
Whole Wheat Bread: A sizable amount of whole wheat flour is used to make this yeast bread. Because whole wheat flour is produced by milling the entire wheat berry, whole wheat bread is healthier. In addition, Brown to dark brown bread is produced using whole wheat flour.
Sweet Bread: The program for sweet baking bread is intended for bread that contains significant amounts of sugar, fat, and protein. The finished loaves often become more browned because of these additional ingredients.
Dough: If you want to bake the dough in a standard oven, there are two ways to prepare it in the bread maker. Utilizing the Dough cycle is one approach. It incorporates the ingredients, works the dough, and completes the initial rise cycle.
It works well for pizza dough and is suitable for almost all dough recipes. It is intended that the dough will be taken out of the bread maker, deflated, and shaped by hand before rising one or two more times. As an alternative, you can select a specific type of bread from the menu options and take the dough out of the pan when the signal for the final rise goes off.
Cuisinart CBK-100 also has packaged mix, cake/quick bread, pasta dough, jam, bake-only, rapid bake, and delay start programs.
Cuisinart CBK-200 has various defining features that help with cooking primarily. While it has more programs than Cuisinart CBK-100, this product has amazing new features. There are similar programs such as;
Packaged Mix: The 1-1/2 and 2-pound dough mixes work best for this program’s prepackaged yeast bread mixes.
Quick bread or cake: These are typically baked in a shaped pan, line a muffin tin or loaf pan, and have a texture like cake; in some cookbooks, they are referred to as batter bread. Eggs, baking soda, and baking powder provide them with the necessary leavening.
Mix-ins must be added with the other basic ingredients right at the start of the cycle. Quick bread can be left in the bread maker for an extra 10 to 15 minutes without any heat to finish baking them if the tops are still slightly moist.
The pasta dough: this program perfectly mixes and kneads pasta dough. The dough is supposed to be taken out and rested. The dough can be rolled by hand or through a pasta roller after it has rested.
Jams: Making homemade jams and chutneys in the bread maker is a great idea. Throughout the process, the paddle automatically stirs the ingredients. The heating element is positioned so the pot’s contents won’t burn. The Instruction Book that comes with this product contains recipes.
The bake-only setting, which can be adjusted in 10-minute increments up to 90 minutes, only turns on the bread maker’s bake function. If you want the finished loaf to have a darker crust or if you’re going to bake dough that you bought in a store, use this setting.
Rapid Bake: The bread won’t rise and bake properly unless the rapid cycle is used with a recipe that calls for rapid-rise yeast.
Buttons for a delay-start timer: Set the timer for the delay.
However, there is more to Cuisinart CBK-200. An audible tone signals when to add the fruit, nuts, and other “mix-ins.” With the second tone, you can either remove the paddle before baking or remove the unbaked dough and shape it by hand.
There is also a new feature that uses air. By using air, this machine creates a new texture in the dough and crust. It also improves the color of the bread in a good way. Cuisinart CBK-200 offers over 100 combinations with 3 crust colors and 3 loaf sizes.
Congratulations if you’ve managed to figure out which product to buy. Between the Cuisinart CBK-100 and CBK-200, there isn’t a single standout winner. Both possess a variety of advantages and disadvantages. Generally speaking, Cuisinart CBK-100 is easier. On the other hand, the Cuisinart CBK-200 is more complicated than the CBK-100.
If you’ve got some experience and know what you’re doing, you might prefer CBK-200 because of its added features, like audible tone and airy texture. Nevertheless, both products are excellent, so choosing one of them won’t hinder your bread-baking efforts.
Review: I’ve had this bread machine for almost 5 years now and I’ve used it anywhere from a few times a month to a few times a week. I’m mostly quite happy with it, aside from a few minor issues that I think could be better.
Review: Love how quiet it is and it fits on the shelf prefectly!!
Review: I really love this breadmaker. I have made about 200 loaves of bread in the last 16 months. Here are my tips for consistently making great bread:
Review: I’ve tried 3 bread machines and the Cruisinart is the best . I had my first machine for a few years and used it every week till it finally went out on me and I purchased a second one. One of the reasons I love this one is the bread doesn’t riase all the way to the top of the lid and stick. It’s the first one that didn’t stick to the top when the bread bakes. My bread browns beautifully and make a perfect loaf every time I use it.
Review: Easy to use; just read the instructions.
Review: Edited this review. Originally gave this breadmaker 5 stars. After making 4 loaves of bread, the breadmaker stopped kneading and I can hear parts rattling around in the bottom of the breadmaker. So disappointing after a little over a week.
Review: I’m use to making bread by hand and this was nice and easy to use!
Review: I’ve always been overwhelmed at baking bread and after researching and reviewing several makers, this one has exceeded my expectations. The recipes I’ve found make it easy and take the worry out of a tasty bread. Just remember to take the paddle out before it rises! Easy to get replacement paddles, but note to self!
Review: Dislike the way the instruction book is put together. It does make good bread
Review: This item looks like all the Cuisinart items I already have and intend to try it soon. I love the brand and have never been disappointed. The manual has tons of neat recipes in it from Gluten-free to all sorts of flavors of bread. I make my own bread all the time but that is always white with home grown wheat and I figured I would make some special flavors that I know hubby would love to have.
Review: I really like my new machine! I was using an older model for years and I am pleased with the settings and the outcome of the breads so far that I have made. Although I would suggest that if you make the sourdough recipe to set it on light crust because the loaf was a tad bit hard. Great flavor and good starter recipe though.
