Introduction

A good coffee maker can greatly help the kitchen if you love coffee as much as most people do. The coffee makers that Cuisinart produces are among the best on the market. It’s enjoyable to look at these Cuisinart coffee machines. They have several single-serve coffee makers available, making them the ideal choice for someone who wants to have one at home and be able to make a cup of coffee whenever they want. You can choose between the Cuisinart products, which are two well-liked alternatives.

Cuisinart provides many brewing-size options, a 72-ounce water reservoir, and simple-to-clean devices that will make your kitchen fashionable! All of this is for a reasonable cost. Let’s examine whether there is a difference between them in this Cuisinart SS-10 vs. SS-10p1 article if you wish to choose one of these.

Design

This Cuisinart product is made of plastic and has various designs, but they are identical. To keep the water inside, the machine has a translucent plastic side. You will insert the coffee pod into the top aperture. There is a little panel with several menu-navigation buttons on your right. A 16 or 18 oz. bottle or tumbler will fit because of the clearance’s height, but you must remove the drip tray.

Cuisinart SS-10 Design

The Cuisinart SS-10 coffee maker from Cuisinart has a sleek, professional appearance and a small footprint. It is slightly more appealing than many other machines in this category. Any interior home design or décor can work with its appearance. With a weight of only 9.9 pounds, it is lightweight and designed to be portable and storage-friendly. Although this Cuisinart machine is primarily made of plastic, some stainless steel components are helpful. Although it won’t last as long as a more robust industrial coffee maker, it is reasonably sturdy given its cost.

Despite being constructed of plastic, Cuisinart SS-10 will give any home a contemporary sense because of its streamlined design. Because there are no obstacles in the way, you can easily lift out the water reservoir to fill it. Large and well-marked buttons are located on the front. Make sure there is enough space for the lid to open upward since the brew filter reaches from the top.

Water Reservoir

The 72 oz water reservoir in each of these Cuisinart products allows you to use the rinse function while still keeping the machine running.

Cuisinart SS-10 Water Reservoir

The 72 oz water reservoir is mostly to blame for this machine’s size, which is fairly huge. A rinse function allows for that additional capacity, which keeps the machine running smoothly. You will flood the brew chamber with a small amount of water after each brew you produce. Your previous brew’s lingering flavor is eliminated by doing this. This device also functions as a hot water dispenser if you need to get some hot water quickly. All you need to do is press the hot water button to get started.

A removable drip tray is a feature of the Cuisinart SS-10 coffee maker designed to catch any spilled hot water, leftover coffee, or other liquids. This drip tray feature also allows you to use larger travel mugs that are longer in height. The reservoir’s attractive black filter holder is the ideal place to mount a powerful charcoal water filter and maintain the purity and freshness of the water in the reservoir. Cleaning your tray is simple and convenient because you can choose to use a dishwasher or just hand wash it beneath a faucet.

Final Verdict

The sole distinction between the Cuisinart SS-10, and Cuisinart SS-10P1 is in the finish or appearance. These are acceptable choices because they will all be the same regardless of your preference. The temperature and size of both machines can be adjusted. They contain programmable features and the ability to brew from the same pods. Cuisinart SS-10, on the other hand, is our preferred model. You may get a fantastic single-serve coffee maker called the SS-10 premium. The SS-10 is made to be straightforward to operate and straightforward to clean. The SS-10 could save your life if you are busy or don’t have the time or energy to attend to your machine’s needs constantly.

However, Cuisinart SS-10P1 would be a better option if you care about how it looks. It is essentially an improved version of Cuisinart’s SS-10, so it isn’t all that different from that appliance. A significant enhancement in terms of design and toughness is that it has a stainless steel body. Along with the other features, the display has been improved with Cuisinart SS-10p1. You now have fully programmable display settings with an automatic on/off feature, temperature control settings that you can adjust, and auto-rinse, which instantly cleans the brew chamber so that you always get the fresh aroma and taste of coffee.

Review: This is a great little K cup coffee maker. Works in our kitchen beautifully. I dumped a fairly new Keurig machine for this. The Keurig machine did not make good coffee. This Cuisinart is so easy to use, and so far, problem free

Review: The coffee is good and hold a lot of water. The first one we bought a year ago did not work. Cuisinart Was very helpful and replaced it. Less than a year later it is so noisy we hesitate to use it if anyone in the house is sleeping

Review: Paid the extra money for the Cuisinart name thinking this coffee maker would last longer and work great. About 9 months after purchase it starting smoking for whatever reason. Iam just glad I was awake and could detect the smell it was giving off and avoid a fire. Needless to say, in the garbage it went. It wasn’t a bad coffee maker but

Mike Bevan – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: I misinterpreted the marketing on the Amazon page for the Cuisinart SS-5P1 40 oz. coffeemaker. There is a section titled “What’s in the box”. It lists the coffeemaker, and right below it there is a section titled “From the manufacturer” which shows the coffee maker, the water filter, and the reusable filter cup. It looks like the two sections are related and that the items shown (the reusable filter cup and water filter) are included. The water filter is, the reusable filter cup is not. Turns out that the “From the manufacturer” section is not part of the “What’s in the box” and the small print says that the reusable filter cup is not included. I did not understand that until after the item arrived without the reusable filter cup. That was one of the reasons I selected this item. Now I have to order one. Don’t let the way the page is arranged fool you too.

Bookmom – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: I love this machine. I had a Keurig 2.0 for about 8 years and got tired of the Keurig proprietary BS on what pods to use. I haven’t tried any commercial pods in this cuisinart yet because I like to use my own grounds, so I use the brewing pod and mesh filter. The one thing that is a bit inconvenient about this machine is the mesh filter is separate and has to go inside a “brewing pod.” With the Keurig, when I used my own mesh filter pod, it was just the mesh filter pod and that was that. With the Keurig, there was only one thing to empty and clean. With this machine, I have two items to clean out after every cup (Brewing pod + mesh filter). Also, the machine only comes with one mesh filter pod (so in order to have multiple cups for company, etc, you would have to buy more mesh filters or clean everything in between each cup. I had to buy more mesh filter pods, but the bummer is that I also had to buy more “brewing pods” too, which is a waste of $ because all you need is the one gray plastic brewing pod into which you put the mesh filter. Other than that, I love this machine. I love that there is an on/off switch on the side to turn off the LED lighting so I don’t have to unplug it to get it to go off. It’s also quiet and easy to set up. I’ll enjoy this machine a lot. :-)

Pipesmoker – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: We purchased this coffee maker to replace a Keurig K-Supreme which we were never overly happy with and which only lasted a little over a year (it crapped out on us on Christmas Day, 2022). We’ve had the Cuisinart for a little over a month and here are our first impressions. First the bad.

G. Grassia – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: The picture shows a reusable filter cup but this doesn’t come with the machine. They do list in the description further down that it’s not included but you need to scroll down. I think that’s a little disingenuous they didn’t post that in the picture listed in the top description about the HomeBarista TM Reusable filter cup.
