Review: My more expensive, super fancy Krups toaster oven recently kicked the bucket after about 4-5 yrs of service, and it was time to replace it. While my Krups was a good toaster oven (before it died), it took up a lot of space on the counter, it was expensive to buy, and frankly it had a lot of features (convection) and interior space that I just don’t use and don’t think are necessary in a toaster oven. So when I shopped for a replacement, I decided to go downmarket a bit.

Review: I had one just like this for years then got an Ninja Air Fryer that said it does the same thing as a toaster oven. It was not big enough inside to bake a potato. So got rid of it and got a new Cuisinart Toaster Oven just like my old one. I looked at the ones that were convection ovens as well, but learned from the air fryer that those don’t make good toast…dry the bread out. Love my Toaster oven. It does everything you want it to do.

Review: Overall, I like this little oven for light baking and broiling. The toast setting will burn bread very quickly if too much above the lowest setting. I tried a ham & cheese melt on artisan bread barely above the “1” and let it go until the bell sounded. Slightly overdone for me tases, dark edges and even browning center. Browned quickly so I’d advise monitoring something like that to start. If it holds up and works for a good while, I’ll be very pleased. I tested the bake function later and found it to heat quickly and meet & hold temp ok, and seeing the toast results, I assume the broil will do likewise.
