The Features of Mueller Five Blade Mandoline Slicer

Easy to Use

With its basic design, Mueller Five Blades Mandoline Slicer can be used by anyone. You can change blades as you wish and start using the Mueller Mandoline Slicer. Still, here are some tips you should consider before using it.

  • Position the mandoline so that it is perpendicular to you.
  • Keep the elevated end nearest to you.
  • Push the food down the runway. Pushing down and forward provides the most control.
  • Keep the mandoline steady with one hand.
  • Always position your thumbs on the top side, and your fingers should be covered beneath, clasping the unit.
  • A pro tip: You can wet the runaway to provide smooth slides for dry or starchy food.

The container features robust and solid legs that are slightly raised to provide users with leverage for a firm grasp.

Value for Money

Mueller Five Blades Mandoline Slicer costs less and offers more than similar mandoline slicers. When you compare it to others in marketplaces, you can see it costs less than other mandoline slicers offering the same features. Mueller Mandoline Slicer comes with five different stainless steel blades and a high-quality, BPA-free plastic container. Moreover, reviews on the market places say that it offers the same quality results as more expensive products.

Besides saving time, the Mueller Mandoline Slicer saves money since it is a durable product and comes with a thick and thin julienne insert, V slicer, wavy slicer, zester, and non-slip food container, which seems like a good deal. Less-priced mandolins do not appear to offer the option of varying slice thicknesses, but this one does. For these reasons, it is safe to say Mueller Five Blades Mandoline Slicer is a value-for-money product.

Review: I like that it has many attachments, and it works relatively well, but the mandolin attachment doesn’t get them quite as thin as I assume other mandolins do, so I wish it had another thinner mandolin attachment. Also the safety feature is great but it’ll leave a piece of the food you’re using unused, but it’s to save you from getting cut

JR – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: I like how everything fits together when put away and I like how all of the pieces are dishwasher safe. I find the safety piece a little difficult to use as it’s big and doesn’t puncture all the foods well. The slicing is good and the food is kept compact in the clean container below. I’ve found myself using this a little more frequently lately and have been happy with results for slicing onions and potatoes. Haven’t tried many of the other blades yet.

Mel – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: I will say the ease of use was amazing. The different slicers are all in the top piece which they slide out easily and make it so that I don’t have more stuff piling up in a drawer or getting lost because they fit right inside but have to be careful when separating the top piece from the bottom as the cutters are open on the bottom and can easily cut if you aren’t careful.

Zoe – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: The first few times I tried to use this- for mushrooms, bell peppers, onions- it would have been quicker to prep my veggies by hand. It’s a learning curve though. It gets easier to use and then it’s much faster than cutting veggies by hand.

Review: I bought this item because it would make it easier to slice fruits and vegetables due to my arthritis. It does a fantastic job of slicing and grating. Great storage for the blades and it locks them in so they don’t fall out everywhere. The only problem I have is I wish there was a blade cover for a couple of the blades. Other than that, it’s a great price and doesn’t take up much room at all.

Review: Have to be careful when using

Review: the first thing that happened when I opened the package, one of the fittings falls out of their system and falls straight onto my foot causing a .5inch gash with blood everywhere. They should have a mechanism that seals each tool within the product. This thing is a pain in the ass to clean. Buy yourself a mandoline. Concept is cool but nah

Review: This is a great little slicer if you have a lot to slice or julienne. If you only have a small amount to slice, then it may not be worth setting it up and then having to clean it. There is a fine line between it being worth it and not. When you do have a lot to slice, this is quick and effective as long as the slices are the size you are going for, as it is not adjustable. In larger amounts, this would work great in conjunction with the Müller vegetable dicker. You can slice with this and then dice with the diced and that would give you the cubes that neither gives alone. I am Austrian and love things from Austria. Both items are great in the right circumstances. Well made and sturdy.
