Review: This is the best “Non-Stick” pan for cooking eggs. I use low heat and my “over easy” eggs are cooked perfectly. It’s very light and priced right.
In addition to many advantageous points provided by aluminum fry pans, it can be said that Mopita Roccia Viva, as an aluminum forged pan that has gained a place in the review, is a very functional and easy-to-use pan, considering what benefits it provides to the user while cooking in general terms, due to its increasing popularity.
Along with these, in terms of cost, it is a very advantageous product compared to many kitchen utensils, especially pans.
So why Mopita Roccia Viva? Let’s examine it in detail!
Pros | Cons |
Scratch Resistant | Not Dishwasher Safe |
Soft Touch Handle | Non-stick Coat Easily Peels |
Cost-effective | It Takes Up Too Much Space on the Stove |
Easy to Clean | It Bents After A While |
The Mopita Roccia Viva is, in general, above-average cooking equipment that can sustain you for some time. Particularly as a culinary tool, it is possible to make extremely excellent dishes right away, and the non-stick coating allows you to keep the flavor of these dishes intact.
Additionally, you may prepare filling meals with lots of ingredients thanks to the huge capacity of the Roccia Viva, which makes cooking for yourself at this time much simpler. Along with this, Roccia is incredibly simple to clean, even if it cannot be put in a dishwasher. Considering this, you can be certain at this point that it won’t cost you more time or effort than necessary.

As cooking equipment, Roccia Viva can do a good job in terms of performance. Owing this performance mainly to its non-stick surface, it does not allow ingredients to stick to the surface from the first use.
In light of my experience, it can perform very well in many foods such as meat, chicken, fish, and vegetables. Of course, the pan must reach a good temperature before cooking in order not to damage the surface. Since Roccia Viva is a pan made of aluminum material that can be heated immediately and rises to high temperatures quickly, care should be taken to avoid scratching the Roccia Viva in this process.
What I mean is that its performance will be adversely affected if it is exposed to excessive heat.
Namely, I used a medium heat level as an ideal temperature, and I did not encounter any problems with the sticking of food at this level. But after a certain time, even at this medium temperature, I witnessed the appearance of warping in the pan. In this respect, I experienced disruptions in its performance.
For example, I can no longer make pancakes or omelets in Roccia Viva, which I used to have a perfect texture in the beginning due to the inward bending in the middle. With this aspect, since there may be atrophy in performance after a point, I thought it appropriate to deduct one point.
We said that the non-stick coating mentioned at the beginning, which is one of the main features of the product, does not cause any problems in terms of the performance of Roccia Viva.
In my main experience, the Viva was a pan preventing food from sticking and allowed me to cook quite well. However, to make the situation more understandable, let me make a small point about the maintenance of the pan; Roccia Viva is not dishwasher safe. For this reason, I was very careful washing it by hand and not cleaning it with a hard and scratchable material.
Moreover, while cooking, I was careful not to scratch the surface of the pan by using silicone cooking materials. One of the plus points of the product was that it was scratch resistant. In light of all this information, I must say that Roccia failed me. No matter how carefully I used it, after 2 months of use, the non-stick coating on its inner surface started to peel off; frankly, I was quite upset about its durability.
Probably due to the constant use I mentioned at the beginning, the peeling of the coating with the heat it was exposed to started to deteriorate the quality of the food as well. I can no longer efficiently cook chicken, fish, or roast beef, as well as foods that I try to preserve the texture of, such as omelets or pancakes. In this respect, I think its durability is quite low.
Besides, as a pan made of aluminum material, I wouldn’t expect Roccia Viva to stain or discolor immediately. But the fact that the bottom surface turned yellow after the heat made me very sad.
In short, Roccia Viva needs much improvement in terms of durability and non-coating quality.

In terms of ease of use, Roccia Viva’s physical design has added a very useful aspect to the product. Namely, its soft handle is very comfortable and ergonomic in terms of grip and does not heat up easily, which is a pretty big advantage to look for in a pan.
On the other hand, I said that the pan is not dishwasher-safe. Although it seems lacking in effort and time with this feature, it is, indeed, a very simple pan for hand-washing. That is to say, Roccia Viva can be cleaned very easily with the help of a soft sponge, even after heavy cooking. The fact that its surface does not hold food makes this situation effective at first.
Additionally, it is possible to cook easily thanks to its large size and capacity of up to 4 liters. With its width, you do not encounter problems such as spilling while mixing or turning the ingredients. I can also say that it is quite effective in not splashing excess oil around.
Moreover, Roccia Viva is very light to use as a pan made of aluminum, and this is a feature that makes it easy for you during the cooking process.
However, there are some difficulties in its physical design. For example, due to its large size, it can occupy a very large space on the stove, which can sometimes restrict the cooking process. Similarly, the peeling of the coating mentioned above is another factor that makes it difficult to use for a while.
Roccia Viva, despite many kitchen utensils, has a very affordable cost, mainly because it is made of aluminum. I made an even more effective and economic shop with the coupon discount.
Since many aluminum, cast-iron, or steel pans in the market can come at a very costly price, I felt that I was quite advantageous when I saw Roccia at this price. Considering the performance and quality it exhibited at the beginning, it can be seen that this price offers quite an opportunity.
Although this point is somewhat relative, I think that Roccia Viva can reach some level of value for money for its non-stick coating aspects. In other words, when evaluated for its large volume, cooking performance, grip comfort, and affordable price, Roccia Viva is a very worthwhile product. But it should focus on improving a few of its main features.
As a final verdict, In general, the Mopita Roccia Viva is above-average kitchen equipment that can support you well up to a certain point. Especially as a cooking tool, it is possible to cook very delicious dishes from the first use, and thanks to the non-stick coating, you can preserve the texture of these dishes.
Additionally, thanks to Roccia Viva’s large capacity, you can also cook comfortable and ingredient-rich meals, which provides you with ease of cooking at this point. Besides, even though Roccia is not dishwasher-safe, it is very easy to clean. At this point, you can be sure that it will not put you at a disadvantage in terms of time and effort.

Review: This is the best “Non-Stick” pan for cooking eggs. I use low heat and my “over easy” eggs are cooked perfectly. It’s very light and priced right.
Review: Cooks evenly, especially with omelettes
Review: Great pan. A friend of mine had this type of pan for a year and I got to use it and loved it. Nothing sticks to it and I can cook what ever I want- crepes, eggs, fish, meatballs. I even used it to cook moussaka all the way until the last 10 min when I moved it to a baking dish to add the bechamel sauce and baked it in the oven. Couldn’t risk putting the Mopita pan in the oven due to the rubber cover of the handle. I bought 2 sizes – 8 in and 11 in – I love it that much.
Review: It actually is nonstick! I’m very happy so far! I have used a few nonstick pans that start sticking within the first couple of weeks… this is working great.

Review: Best pan ever, ordered two sizes and have used everyday. Will never use any other brand. Took years to find my favorite and this is it!
