Review: I bought this for juicing pomegranates about four months before my pomegranates were ready to harvest. Upon delivery I opened box to inspect but didn’t plug it in. Promptly threw out box. Fast forward four months, spent about three hours cleaning around 30 pomegranates on my day off. Excited to see how much easier life would be with my new mechanical advantage (juiced by hand last year). Plug it in hit power and nothing. Switched outlets, took off the hopper reassembled and even beat on it like a monkey. Still nothing. Box was gone, well past the Amazon return period. I was looking at hours of pummeling pomegranate seeds through a strainer like last year. Faced with this reality and knowing there was no time to order something different and also knowing I can fix almost anything I took out the four screws that held the brains and brawn of the juicer. There is a safety switch that won’t let it turn on without the juicer fully assembled that had broken loose at some point along its journey from china. The switch could no longer be depressed by assembly of the hopper. Jumped the wires together and the juicer came to life. It works really well 5 stars on performance 1 star on the plastic that holds the switch.
