Looks the same except this one has the locking lid which I have been wanting to get for some time now, so when I need to take it to some place I can not worry it will spill. Review: Hamilton Beach always comes through. I have had the smaller Slow Cooker for many years but found I needed something with more volume – whole chickens or even a turkey breast. It heats quickly and maintains an accurate temperature throughout the cook time. I don’t travel with my slow cookers so I can’t comment on the locking system but the unit is so well made I feel sure the locked lid would do a good job. It really easy to clean and you can even place the dish in the dishwasher if needed. It is REALLY big and quite heavy – especially when loaded with a good size roast or chicken. You must be careful when removing the cooking well from the unit while hot as the weight and heat can be surprising. I am really enjoying this slow cooker over the holidays as it makes more than enough food for everyone. Saves time and money. Great Value.
